Grounded in the anthology Resurgence and Reconciliation: Indigenous–Settler Relations and Earth Teachings, the series features contributing authors who explore how Indigenous laws, treaties, stories, and responsibilities continue to shape how we live together.
Together, we are seeking to promote a deeper conversation towards rebuilding our relationships with Indigenous peoples and the Land for a stronger Canada.
Season 6 of the TRC#57 Speaker Series is shaped by the questions explored in Resurgence and Reconciliation: Indigenous–Settler Relations and Earth Teachings, and by its careful invitation to think more deeply about how these two ideas are often understood. Rather than treating resurgence and reconciliation as goals to be achieved, this year-long study approaches them as ongoing, relational practices—learned through attention, responsibility, and care over time.
